Welcome to our Travel Trade

Papua New Guinea is indeed the last frontier. The Highlands of New Guinea was only discovered in the 1930s. Many species of wild life exists with some new species discovered in the recent years. Culturally, Papua New Guinea would be the most diverse country in the world with more than 820 languages, representing twelve percent of the world’s population. Many of these people still practices their traditions and cultural which was passed on to them by their fathers. Papua New Guinea does not only offer sun and surf to those who wish to relax but also adventure for those who dare to discover this tropical paradise.

Papua New Guinea through the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority is represented in Australia - Sydney, Europe – Frankfurt and London, Asia – Japan, and North America – Los Angeles. We work alongside travel agents and operators who package and sell Papua New Guinea. The packages that are offered include; Trekking, Diving, Cultural Experiences, Sightseeing, Fishing, and Bird watching while many other products are developing.

The Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority approaches operators and agents especially in our represented countries to specifically educate them about the products and services available throughout PNG and inform them about the new developments and products. Trade Familiarization trips are important as the trade personnel are invited by PNGTPA to travel to PNG and to all the different provinces to experience tourism products and attractions.
