Tourism Week 2016

From September 21st to 27th, the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (PNGTPA) and the PNG Tourism Industry Association joined forces to launch Tourism Week - seven days of workshops, meetings, public exhibitions including a tourism expo that drew nationwide interest. 

Tourism Week ended on September 27th - a day set aside by the United Nation's World Tourism Orgnanisation to commemorate World Tourism Day.  This year's United Nation's World Tourism Day theme is: "Tourism for All - Promoting Universal Accessibility".

The major events of Tourism Week were the National Tourism Conference held on the 23rd of September at The Stanley Hotel & Suites; and the Lukim PNG Nau 2016 Tourism Expo, September 25th to 27th at the International Convention Centre.
